Into and the start

Welcome,
I decide today that I needed a place to vent and share my families experiences with our son Brayden on his journey to being diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Brayden is 5 years old and a gorgeous boy who unless he was having a bad day you wouldn't even know something was different about him! He is the oldest of 3 with a younger brother Lachlan (Lachie) and baby sister Eliza.
He lives with his mum and dad and brother and sister and attends 4 year old kinder 3 days a week!
I frist noticed a difference between Brayden and his friends at mum's group when he was about 18 months old! He would sit on his own and investigate the car he was playing with in a world of his own while his friends (who were all 3 months younger than him) would be saying plane and copter and playing happily with their toys!
I brought up these concerns with our Maternal child health nurse and she said he was just alittle slower at talking than the others and not to worry because he had done everything else at the "normal" times!
The subject of something being different about Brayden wasn't brought up again till he was 3 and a half when we saw a new health nurse and she could see the differences too! And so begins our journey........
